Default Compact Flash for S5 pro

Hi all,

I m newbie to this s5 pro Recently I got free CF kingston 8gb as packet but often seen Read Error when tried to review the picture. I'm using sandisk ultra II now as suggested in the manual book and never facing the Read Error message again. Anyone have this issue before? Is it not all CF compatible with S5 pro?

Ooooo.....seems like I am not alone leh!! Me too having same problem with Kingston 8gb 133x, about 30% of the pics hv read error problem. Now using Adata 133x 8 gb. took 50 pics so far, only 1 read error

Another problem i hv is that after i left my s5 pro to idle for about 10 secs or so, whenever i press the playback button or the menu button , cf light (cf card access lamp) seems to be blinking for about 5 secs while the lcd still blank. After the cf light stopped blinking, i hv to press the playback button or menu button again b4 I managed to view playback or entering menu setup. You hv this problem?

If you want your S5 Pro to write/read a bit faster (great if you shoot mainly RAF), I suggest using either Sandisk Extreme IV or Lexar Professional 300X CompactFlash cards.

Otherwise, Kingston CompactFlash card is good enough if you shoot primarily JPEG.

Hi Yes, tried to format the card on the camera it self already but still the same, the picture I took will shown "Read Error" most of the time when using the kingston 8gb card in my camera.

I tried sandisk and working fine after read another post also at http://www.flickr.com/groups/fujis5/...7608698015355/

Hmm, seems not all have this issue, maybe only some camera have
