Tortise Beetle & Hoverfly

The Tortise beetle are hard to take due to the reflective wings. So had to do some PS on the red one. The lighting on the green one was not too bad.

FZ30+Raynox 250, F11, variou spds, 2 diffuse flash, ISO80, handheld

Very nice exposure control of the beetles. Didn't know they are called tortise beetle.

the beetles look so cute..they looked almost perfectly camouflaged i'm sure i wouldn't have spotted them i swear haha

These are superb shots! I have been hunting for colorful beetles in Singapore for the longest time... no luck till now.

They are seldom seen. This would be my 4-5th I have seen these over 4 years of shooting.
