If everything works out to the director's wish and wants i think can make an movie international standard.
I won't comment on who's fault it is if things don't work out. Too much pointing fingers already.
However, a tip I learned from a class is for the photographer to show the pose to the model. So the photographer should be able to do the pose on his own (not just visualize it). That way, it's easier for the model to follow.
Another is for the photographer to ask the model to mirror the photographers pose. So if the photographer is shooting at 300mm, the photographer just has to do the pose for the model to mirror. Photographer doesn't need a mega-phone to instruct the model.
Some people think that photographers who do this are gay (posing like girls). Photographers who get this comment don't feel bad because the models actually feel more comfortable if they think the photographer is gay. Plus side, photographer get to be really close to the pretty models.
Da_mn i dress up as a warrior i can do more power shoots than the GWCs! Double Da_mn i dress up as girl i tink i can pose better than most XMM
