Because it is a very very new format, this format was only launched this year, compared with the compact flash/MMC/memory sticks which were launched 3/4 years ago.

It is also due to the fact that Fuji & Olympus demand high licensing fees for any manufacturer to incorporate support for xD in their products, hence you will not find many non Fuji/Olympus products supporting xD card any time soon.

You can use a xD-CF adaptor to use the xD card on portable storage devices like Nixvue Digital Album, X-Drive II etc.

But does this adapter has the 128mb limitation? Most readers and adapters I believe has this limitation of unable to read more than 128mb. I have one such reader that only reads my 16mb xD card, but not my 256mb.

seems that memory card with no 3rd party support are never popular. CF card is the best man.

There shouldn't be any limitation.
