Default Remove lens from body when not using?

this may sound kind of stupid

hmmm... imho, nothing whatsoever as long as you keep both ends of the lens and the body capped.

for me who dont own a slr camera, i think it is more logical to store slr camera together with the lens and try not to remove to much to prevent dust from contacting much of the exposed surface area

Nope, no implications. It won't expose your film so no worries.
just keep the body cap on to prevent dust from getting in.
