Thread: What rights do you as a photographer have while shooting ?

  1. #1

Question What rights do you as a photographer have while shooting ?

Wanted to ask if any of you (policeman, judge, lawyer etc.) would shed light in this topic?

Is there any violations or rights that you are aware of when photographers shoot in areas like MRT stations, shopping centers, buildings?

Scenario 1: Photographer in town "shot" a couple, couple confronts photographer to remove the photos

Scenario 2: Security personal chases you away for shooting their buildings

So what is public areas and what are the limits of photography in Singapore?
Are there any restrictions besides the known such as military bases, highly sensitive areas?

Hope this helps everyone before we end up in detention center unknowingly.
