This is the original "gold-ring" version of the 80-200 APO (non-High Speed). An excellent alternative for photographers who want pro-quality images but are unwilling to shell out the $$$ for the 80-200 HS (approx. $1.8K) or the 70-200 SSM (>2.7K)!

Come on, you guys quit horsing around my WTS ad and send in your offers!

I've been running some field tests comparing this lens against my newly aquired 70-300mm SSM G, and have to declare that this 80-200 is significantly sharper and more colorful than the new G lens! This doesn't make sense, but it's true and just confirms the legendary reputation of the original Minolta lenses. This lens also works great on FF, confirmed by some of our "pro" bros.

I'm now having 2nd thoughts about selling... ...
