Default Which CPL to buy for ?

hey guys,

i currently have a Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG HSM and a Canon 17-40mm F4L USM

the Sigma is 82mm and the Canon is 77mm.
and I had a hard time deciding which size of CPL to buy. any helps pls?

Buy both sizes if you have the budget. If not buy for the lens you use most frequently first, then get the other once you have the money.

i use both quite oftenly.

That means you will only buy 1 now.

Do you like to shoot between 50-70mm? Or, do you hell like landscaping?

Get 82mm and then get stepping ring?

If you feel that you will be using CPL on different diameter lenses, you can consider Cokin filter - the slide in filter vs the screw-in ones such as B+W or Hoya

Curious... does Hoya come with CPL with difference grade?

yeah, they have the standard, HMC and S-HMC
