encounter wif tamron 70-300mm LD DI
yo peeps...encounter some prob...
er...i got a 2nd hand tamron 70-300mm LD DI. it works well... but when it comes to e range of around 200mm onward, the aperture cannot go higher than f5.6... if higher than f5.6 (f7.+++)...error will appear on my canon 450D...saying tat lens contact has to b clean..but..i brush n clean many times le..still cannot... yesterday, i pm-ed e guy who sold me e lens...but till now no reply.. so...is e lens suppose to at jus f5.6 for 200-300mm or...is it faulty? possible to b my camera fault?...wish to try on another camera...but..i only got 1 cam....no frenz who play camera leh.. sad.. |

1) See if there's any Canon user here willing to help you to test on their cam body.
2) Can your other lenses stop down to a smaller aperture? If yes, then unlikely it's your cam's fault.

thx bro for response....
this lens tat i haf....when using below 200mm... i can adjust aperture to like f22 n so on...no probs...prob jus occur when it shoots to 200-300mm.. so...quite puzzled lor.. sian leh...if i go down to canon n ask them..will they b able to solve it? |

I think the problem lies with the lens not your cam. Maybe should check with Tamron & not Canon instead.
Most ideal solution is to get a refund from the seller (which I'm sure if it can be done since the seller seems to have MIA).

er...where is tamron service centre...any idea?... through e serial no. of e lens..will they b able to detect whether e warranty still available?! hm... sad.. |

thx bro...i found tat out from Tamron USA...jus tat....they dun reply my email..called them once..no ans..
lol coz i tot they will haf a specific service centre.. so chui... anyway.. thx!!! |
