    Default Variable bit rate and constant bit rate

    I never quite understood this...
    What is the difference in terms of technicalities between these two? And how does it affect the audio quality?
    Which do you normally use when burning in mp3 format?

    Duhh... of course I know it varies... I want to know which part of the track does it vary and this is based on what parameters?!?
