hi ! i am glad someone started this thread to post shots taken by our 1000D.

i like to share with everyone some of my pictures which i have taken since i purchased my 1000D (first DSLR) back in august 2008.

all shots are taken and posted without any photoshop editing... just cropping to the recommended size and adding my name to the pictures.

Picture 1 : Polygon (Bicycles) Model

Picture 2 : Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Picture 3 : Sunset In Batam

Picture 4 : Small Scale Model Of An Antique Bicycle

feedbacks / comments are most welcomed !

thanks for viewing...

nice effect on the 2nd picture... if i am not wrong, my friend did mention to me about a shooting technique called "dragging" the shutter for long exposure which can achieve this effect. for your case, what settings on the 1000D did you use ?

#5 I really like this pic..IMO I don't know what you're trying to express but it could be better if you didn't crop so much of the background away?

#8 I'm no expert here but I feel that just a shot of the flowers doesn't say anything. Perhaps you should try to include the background. If you're using flash, try to make sure it lights up everything and not half-half like in the photo.

Comments for the above two photos in bold. I feel for 4 & 10, direct flash gives very harsh lighting. My guess is, you're using the pop-up flash. Maybe can try to use a diffuser? I've been using tissue paper as diffuser for the pop-up flash.

My 2 pence.

Building ice sculptures in Harbin, China.

Seletar Reservoir

All raw outta the camera. Wish I had a decent computer to do some PP on them.
