I am a PNS user changing to dslr After going throught the forum is now decided to get a d90 I am basically using my camera for travelling and also shooting with macro for my thai amulet collection I must admit i really no nuts on dslr eg. exposure aperture I would like to know with no knowlege of dslr would i still be able to go about taking pictures are there any proven setting for me to help me get stared on my dslr camera Would apperciate if anyone knows if its cheaper to get Nikon camera in bangkok or in singapore as i am working in bkk. If i am mostly using it for travel and macro shotting should i go for the kit lens or just buy the body and get lens seperately Any comment is useful comment Hope to hear from u guys soon......

D90 + 18-105vr kit lens is S$1670 one weekend back. Do your own conversion and compare ?

As for where to get the camera, get it in the country you'll be in for most of the time as the warranty is only in the country you buy from. You'd need to be in that country to claim that warranty. And read up more on the lens choices, you'd do well with the kit lens and mebbe a 60mm micro lens with a good external flash. |

i second what zac08 just said, get the camera with kit lens and the 60mm micro and SB600....
more than enough for your needs.... |

don't forget if you're not thai, you can get tourist refund. just like the gst refund in Singapore
