Default Mount Fuji - Japan

Some shots taken during my recent trip to Japan. Different views of Mount Fuji from Peace Park. C&C are most welcome.

love what is in the scene in the first picture, but a higher perspective, to separate the pavillion more from the mountain (understandably not so easily possible).. and the people spirited away into a fourth dimension, that would be great.

I was using a 70-200mm lens and this picture was taken at 70mm focal length.

Hi ctm1968, trust you also have had a memorable trip in Japan. Not much editing was done. The foreground was brighten up slightly and increased the saturation for green and "blue" sky. Cheers.

nice shot. You are very lucky to be able to see the full view of Mount Fuji. I was at the other side of the mountain, at Gotemba (the premium factory outlet at the base of Mount Fuji) and i can't even see a thing.

Wow... pic #1 is fantastic... Looked like a painting of Mt Fuji at the background... Was also at Peace Park last week, but didn't recall seeing Mt Fuji look so huge at that angle... Maybe I was busy making wishes and gonging the bell a the other pavilion Nice shot! Cheers!

We were lucky that going to Peace Park was part of the itinery. Seeing Mount Fuji is simply wonderful.

Perhaps I was using the 70-200mm lens instead of wide angle. By the way, my wife and kids were also busy making wishes and gonging the bell. . Happy New Year.

Very lucky to see mt Fuji in full unblocked view. Pic 1 and 2 are beautiful. Composition wise, in pic 1, the Fuji slope line would be complete if not broken by the pavilion top.

Nice photos! When I was there 3 years ago, it was so cloudy that I couldn't see Mt. Fuji at all..

I quite like #1.. Maybe if you had a wider view of the mountain and a smaller pavilion.. I think it'll be perfect!

Totally agree with you on the Mt Fuji sloping line being broken by the pavilion. Did not take notice when taking the pictures. When I saw Mt Fuji, the view was beautiful and I just fired away.

Thanks ragnall. Actually, I brought along the 14-24mm lens for my trip but I thought of taking tighter shots at Peace Park. Perhaps, my mistake.
