Default Steamboat Eating places - please recommend

    Hi friends
Can you all chip in on good steamboat places?
Food must be good, not about ambience and all.
Also I heard about some mushroom steamboat place, anyone knows about this?
    Thanks

    DIY - do your own

It's well wicked when you've got an MSR gas stove with a rock under it to prevent it from igniting the rest of your place.

i tried the one at the corner of liang seah st
(the one that looks like restaurant kind)
    food wise okok
got free flow of drinks, 2 soups pot (the satay one is totally disappointing), there's a few cooked food available.
at least the "cleanliness" factor is there as compared to the other 2 shops next door.
paid about $20 on a friday.

    Default Mushroom pot

Just had the mushroom pot at Kallang for dinner...
It is located within the indoor stadium and there was not much of a crowd at 8 pm.
We had the black chicken herbal mushroom soup base and that was not bad actually. Service was pretty prompt, and the mushroom were quite varied and fresh. There was also meat and prawns as well and the bill was less than $45 per pax plus additional dishes.
Not bad but I could make this myself too if I had the time. Next time, I shall make this plus a herbal chicken for my next gathering...
