The S602zoom gives fantastic colours and sharpness when used as a webcam, beats those $50 to $100 dedicated webcams, even Logitech's!
I have even used my Panasonic firewire MiniDV cam as a webcam and that is even bettre than the 602, as the zoom, focus, WB and iris are all manually controlled. |

How do you use the S602zoom as Webcam? In the video mode and connect through USB? |

For the 602 as webcam, there is a setting under Setup and not under video mode. The focus, zoom and most other camera features are fixed.
I believe that the firewire protocol is brand-independent. As long as you are on XP and with firewire connection, any video you can see on the PC will be usable in some ways as a webcam live video. |
