Default Lonely... Sitting Alone

Shot 2 months back, was in clementi walking and saw this boy sitting alone. Actually he was looking at 2 other boys playing soccer (unfortunately did not include this... they were too far from him for me to include into the frame). He looked like he wanted to join them but...

Ful size image

would like to know:
-If the composition potrays loneliness
-how this image could have/can been improved
-Does the image work?

Thks for viewing

IMHO, to improve the pic, u probably wud haf a choose a more moody background to potrait the feeling of loneliness, coz from the background, it is rather "exciting"

moreover u may wan to shoot the guy up close ( zoom in) to better potray him as lonely and not accompanied by so mani elements around him

just my humble comments

Further away... as i mentioned, was not able to get them in the pic as they were too far from the boy and i was using a 50 prime

took me quite a while to notice the subject at all..

like mentioned by other forumers.. you might want to consider taking a more intimate picture of the subject..

Its a busy photo. Lots of lines all over. The subject has been lost among the lines. What you could have done, is to get behind him to get the other boys in the frame. You may need a wide angle lens to capure the suggested shot. Alternatively, you could have got a shot in front of him with him in distant focus while his friends are playing ball in the foreground.

1) the stairs on the top left makes me waiting for something to come down into the composition.

2) i do notice the boy, but feel he is only resting there, since its bright and sunny, probably hot.

3) there are too many things in the photo.

4) lines going everywhere.
