Default y r there 2 flashes?

Hi guys!!

I have seen photographer mounting two flashes on one camera .. the 2nd one on a stroboframe of cos .. Esp during event photography.

Q1)

May i know y? To increase flash output and light up the subject better? Or to have the catch light in the eyes?

Q2)

I am using a D100 and has a SB 80DX/ SB 22s. What other equipments do i need to have tat kind of setup?

You need AS 10 adapter plus SC 18 Cord, these will cost you ard 110 buck. I used to tether my SB 50DX to SB 80DX to increase guide number when shooting at small aperture.

i see .. that's quite a sum man ..

so is increasing the guide number the sole purpose?
