    Default Battery Charger

    Hi all,

    I got this question:

Can i use an old Ni-MH batt charger to charge the latest Ni-MH battery 2700mA??

I see from the old charger that its output is 550mA for AA battery.

So, i got 2700mA AA batteries to charge, can i use this charger to charge?

Or do i need to buy the latest charger?

    Thanks

You can use tat old charger. But the newer and better ones have indivdual circuits and often have refresh functions. So if you have more batteries and wish to keep them in tip top condition, do consider investing in a good charger.

Well, it all depends on the amount you wish to invest.

My previous charger was the Maha CF-401S and it is a small light charger with individual circuits for 4 batteries and only slow and fast charging functions. (approx $40plus)

My latest one is the Maha C801D which can charge 8 batts individually and have soft charge, and conditioning functions. (got it at about $100plus)

    wow..... so complicated....

er... i just want a simple charger.... can charge can already....... ha

maybe i just stick to this old charger i have, since it still can be used.

based on this old charger specs, does it mean that it will take longer to charge 2700mA batteries?
