Colours look over-saturated, like its been overprocessed.

Thank you for the kind comments. Yes, took at MOG.

After your comments, I do feel that the red is over saturated. Actually I did not add any saturation during post processing, just a bit of contrast plus sharpening. The shots were taken by D300 with picture control set to Neutral. For #4 I even bring down the exposure to avoid the red channel from burning out. Thanks for pointing out, I will pay more attention on the saturation next time.

I agree, I think maybe running sat/noise reduction through the red channel would help a little.
I like the 2,3 & especially 4 - Terrific pose

Merry Christmas (Our birds have fleeces on presently )

Over saturation, nay. Tell it to the bird. It is natural that a Crimson Sunbird red is saturated in itself.

That's as Crimson a Sunbird as it is.

For those who shot a Crimson will understand. In fact the red is very well controlled already.

I would say well done, except that horizontal brach in the first pic is distracting (not that you can do anything about it)

Peng Eik,

Thank you very much for your comment.

A very long time didn't see your nature shots, I miss it so much especially your bee eater.

Thanks, I am afraid you will not be seeing anymore for some time. Hopefully I will get myself inspired to go back and spend more time with nature in the future

Peng Eik, this season quite happening! Can ask SK and Phil...like super rare duck spotted SBWR, super tame cuckoos and hooded pitta (although I missed the chance to due to personal commitment). Hope these birdies will inspire to bring out your 500mm for some exercise..

To TS: My apology for the OT.
