Talking TCON17 for s602z?

Hi guys,

Was considering buying the above but wonder if it's fitted? btw any Adapter ring required? or does the package come with it? I had a 52 to 55mm step up ring though. Would appreciate some helpful replies. Thanks!

I have the B300 (essentially the same as the TCON17) which works fine. The package comes with an adaptor for Olympus cameras which won't be useful on the 602Z.

think it doesn't work very well with digicams with lenses larger than the Canon A40/60/70 ones. read that it vignets at full zoom on a G2, thus effectively quite useless.

Default Sony 1758

For the best in quality (and weight, and size, and $$), none other than Sony VCL-HGD1758. IMHO.

602Z thread size is 55mm right? same as the tcon-17, so no need step ring. but the rear element does protrude out slightly from the tcon-17, so depending on your 602z front element position, you may or may not need a spacer ring. should be zero vignetting at full zoom for the 602Z.

Oh sorry, I just madde a mistake, the s602z is 55mm not 52mm as I have mentioned. I had a 55mm to 52mm instead.. Thanks for comments!

btw does this TCON17 come with any adapter ring or any stuff?

sorry for my ignorance, what do you mean by rear element being protruding???

the TCON17 does not come with any spacer ring. you'll have to get a 55-55mm adapter, either original fuji or 3rd party.

From what I know, there's no 55-55mm adapter ring selling in SG! Where u all got it? Online purchase?

btw does it really need an adapter ring for TCON17 in use with S602z? Can we just screw the telepho lens into the barrel? I see there's a big hollow barrel for TCON17....

YES you'll need an adapter ring as when you turn on the camera, the lens will be extended but not the screw threads...

they do alright... guess they must have lost quite a bit of business with that "not shipping outside US" statement there

Btw I still dun understand why need a ring or tude? since there's a hollow space inside barrel of the telepho lens?

oops sorry for the confusion... its called an adapter tube or a spacer ring... juz make sure you get the one dedicated for s602z (55-55mm) if you intend to use TCON17.
