Thanks for watching

Spent the whole weekend at home feeling unwell and ended up messing around with an HDR trial. Titles inspired by 7 Deadly Sins (not to be taken seriously though). Do let me know what you think of these shots...

Cheers.

Hi, thank you all for the appreciation

The idea of set 01 (sounds like Qiji's menu isn't it?) is to accentuate the textures created by the building facade as the weather was not good at all (cloudy and the sky was so washed out) after the rain.

The original shot wasn't all that bad but still needed improvement in my opinion. So what i did in Lightroom was;

On the Tone taskbar:

1. Added little more exposure
2. Dragged recovery towards maximum (just to create more obvious edges on the facade)
3. Added little more blacks
4. Brought the brightness up to +50 and contrast to +70

On the Presence taskbar:

1. Added clarity up to +100 and vibrance up to +95
2. Reduce saturation to -75 (don't know why but my taste are always pale colors and i hate myself for that matter)

On the Tone Curve

1. Brought up highlights to +15, lights to +17 and darks to -25

On Vignettes

1. Did a little post crop at -45 with midpoint value of 73

And that's it... the result should be something like what i posted

The only thing i had in mind when i did the PP was to save the "weather's not so good" shots since i applied different approach in taking those shots (like playing around with angles and reflections on water)

I actually don't think the values of all parameters i wrote above means a lot (actually i wrote it down by opening the develop section of Lightroom ) since i don't rely on parameter values and more on my eyes taste so may be it's more trial and error test on what you particularly like.

Hope this answers your question
