was recently in malacca and it was raining on that particular day. was walking along some river bank and finally after some time, the rain stopped and the sun started shining down upon the river as the clouds gave way. this was the scene as i saw it.

maybe you've gotten the photo link wrong. here's a slightly larger photo.
![]() the settings are fine. there lack the contrast between the sky and the rays, so it's quite hard to spot what is actually happening in this photo. |

I feel that the contrast & DR is abit limited... can't really find a focus spot in the photo... just my 2 cents...

i was trying to capture a "peaceful" scene, so there isn't a "point to look at" kinda thing, but just a overall landscape effect.
but hey, thanks for your comments, i think if i'd get some kinda focus point might be better. will take note of that in the future. regarding the lack of contrast. yea. i do feel there isn't really much. i should do some PP but im not really very good at it. maybe someone can help me bring the contrasts of the sunrays against the dark cloudly sky?
