Smile S 5000 Reviews

Hi, I'm pretty new to this site. Can anyone post some reviews and the pros and cons of this cam? Want to buy it this weekend.

cons of s5000

No manual white balance
iso start from 160 at auto iso mode, or 200,400 and 800(at 1 megapix)
No remote

The worst of all, at playback mode , there are no info other then frame no, time taken. U will not know what iso, shutter, aperture, Flash or no flash , type of white balance use, file resolution(what megapix use?)

Heh, Tks. Just bought my S 5000 fm MS color. Very good deal. Friendly uncle. Heh. Like it alot. However, I think its my skills. My shots looks rather over exposed. Any tips for me to correct this problem??

Why do you say that? I decided to buy a 602Z based on what was said about it there.

Didn't read too many other reviews on fuji cameras though... Maybe you can give some examples?

ok.. here's some what I read..

It is comparing with a 6mp interp (s5000) to a true 5mp s50.

as for s602z, it is good but dpreview gave it a recommended rating becoz it does iso 800 at 1mp (read the conclusion). But no one knows that time only prosumer camera like fujifilm s602z has iso 800 to 1600. So isn't it biased against? I personally owned a s602z and I think it's great!

Its pretty obvious that dpreview is totally biased against Fuji and pro-canon.

The 602z review is the best example.

To add that Canon has 5 forums... whereas the other brands have 2 forums each.. so you know who's paying Dpreview?

It doesn't really matter that the reviewer says, look at the sample and comparison shots.

I take it that Phil has not tampered with those results in any way!

That's where I can trust DPReview and Imaging Resource.
