Thread: How would u feel if pay is cut for a short term project?

  1. #1

Question How would u feel if pay is cut for a short term project?

Suppose u landed a short term photo project with an event company and shortly less than a week, they called up to say that they are cutting costs and your pay is cut by 13% before commencement of the project?
Do u feel something amiss? Would u still accept the offer?

Yes, if it meets my previously set bottomline and there is nothing else better on offer.

depends u wanna work with them long term or not lor. If they require alot of these ad-hoc photography services, why not treat tht as a 13% discount for the sake of PR?? I know of some photographers doing photograhy on freelance basis for BIG companies getting some cuts in for their works. And its more than 13% in their case.

So its up to u if u wanna give tht 13% discount to them and have them coming back to you for the next couple of years or u wanna risk them never calling u again after this job even aft economy recovers.

If they are those one time kind, and u have your full time job elsewhere and can live on without this job, then i suggest u don't bother abt them. simply becoz rates cut alrd, very hard to push up again.... Preserve your market value...
