Camera checklist

Newbie here.
New owner of Nikon d40.
Was wondering what checklist
I can use on my d40 when planning a shot.
Hope this makes sense knowing there
are different settings for different situations.

Here's your checklist:

- Camera Body
- Lens
- Battery
- Memory card

If you are taking a night scene.... bring a tripod....

That's something you have to build up yourself as you go along and learn from your mistakes

Well...here's mine :
1. Make sure resolution setting is appropiate
2. Make sure ISO settings are appropriate
3. Check WB setting
4. Check metering mode
5. Set adequate Active D-lighting (if necessary)
6. switch metering to appropiate mode (P,S,A,M)
7. Reset exposure bias/ flash exposure bias to appropiate stops

Check if battery has enough juice.
Check if memory card has enough space too.

One more word of advice....when in doubt, use Auto.
