Default Snaps.

Some experimenting with my street snaps, with an attempt ( a rather limp one i might add ) to inject some quirkiness into my shots. Not all of the shots are done in that manner, some of them are still your normal, boring candid shots.

Killer Cockatoo.

Stop Smoking.

Legs.

Ball of a Time.

Monks.

haha! i like this! i see your quirkiness in your pictures. nothing much for me to add because i simply enjoy just looking at these candids! but i am amazed that you'll lift your camera and point to random strangers no matter the distance.

i've yet to try street shooting >.<

Thanks! I'm still trying..i've missed some good shots because i didn't dare point my camera at the subject cos they were too close to me. Still working at it though!

Tibetan Monks.

Monks, floating gigantic ping pong balls and cranes, things that have no reason to be together but somehow here it is. Quirky and well seen!

Ah, thanks for pointing that out..my bad!

It was interesting observing them though, they looked almost shy in their actions, especially when a Caucasian tourist asked if she could have a picture taken with them (in which they obliged, albeit looking abit awkward).

merel - nice shots. there's a distinct style to your shots, and i like them.

i'm more of a feel person, and not a composition person, so i like how you've brought out the whole feelings of the street in your photos.

40mm is nice, shows you were close enough.

edit: i'd like to see more - add me to your flickr if you don't mind.

Thanks Sequitur, i try going as close as i possibly can. Sometimes i find it amazing when the whole scene just unfolds in front of you and at that very moment the photo just "happens". I guess that is the joy of street photography, you never know what you've gonna get on the streets.
