Problem with Magicstor 2.4 Microdrive
Hi ... Just got the Magicstor 2.4 Microdrive on tuesday, from Eastgear.. then On wednesday morning went to Sungai buloh nature reserve test it out took about 100 + pic no problem , so i thought everything Is OK with the drive. Then today I went to Marina bay for the freezbee compertition , under the hot sun... Camera is hot like mad.. donno because of the microdrive or the sun... any way took abt 600 mb of picture than got error 20 on my camera........****............. took it out & on / off it it work for a while ...then same error ... batterry dead after 3 hour shotting ( 10d with microdrive ) never happen when used CF card, ok ... cont... took abt 10 pic more then Err 02 .... what the ..... luckly i got my backup sandisk 256 mb ... went back abt 1 pm... no more memory... I did a test at home... everytime it him 600+ mb this problem happen...err 20 then err 02 ...... any idea what err 02 & 20 means ?>????? should i return this drive???? can east gear replace this 2.4 micro drive with 1 gb cf ???? ... don't trust microdrive lio......... ****.........tomoro still have the finals to shot........

before you return, you can do some test, since its already faulty.
1) reformat 2) try to copy > 2gb files to the microdrive, subsequently use norton disk doctor to check for bad sector or error etc. |

Done reformat under fat32 ...stilll the same.... will try to copy file,,,,

This micro drive take almost 2 hour to copy 2 gb of pic files . No problem when do a scandisk .... But when test on my camera ...still got error after con't shooting... any idea???

What is Err 02 & Err 20 on canon 10d????

its mentioned in the manual. err o2 indicates problem with the cf card. last thing you can do is to try the cf card on another fat32 compatible dcam. if both microdrive and cam have no problem, it could be in the first place that they are not compatible at all, not sure.
