Default Help in Choosing aTripod

I just bought a DSLR and was wondring on what is the best tripod for me to get. I tried looking around shops but do not know brand names and models. plus i just learned that i still need to buy a ball head for the tripod... please help me find the right tripod for me.

Things to consider:

1. I am a newbie
2. I am using Nikon D80 with MB-D80 + SB900 (total weight to be mounted on the tripod)
3. Should be sturdy and light weight

Please include the prices of the tripod you guys will recommend.
Thanks

I have D90 setup. Just bought a Benro M58 + KB-0A Ballhead. Bought from Benphoto. If you use the most basic B0 ballhead will be well within your budget. Just did a whole day of tripod testing, found the manfrotto a little heavy for my usage. But to each his own. If budget not a problem... I'll go for the C069 Travel Angel... drool...

Just change the ballhead to a good one if needed and ready to go.

BTW i have Benro catalogue from Jack's shop. Here are the tripods i considered with specs.

C-069 Travel Angel Carbon Fibre
5 Sections, Max ht : 1390mm, Min ht : 340mm, Folded : 340mm!! Weight : 0.78, Load : 6Kg

A-350EX Aluminium
4 Sections, Max ht : 1350, Min ht : 325, Folded : 430mm Weight : 1.11, Load : 4Kg

C-058 (M-058) Carbon Fiber M8
4 Sections. Max ht : 1400, Min ht : 325, Folded : 455, Weight : 0.92, Load 5kg.

I picked the M-058 cos price is between the A350EX and C069. Its carbon Fiber legs and center post aluminium.
Cheers!

Try getting quotes from the usual camera shops, MS Color, Alan Photo, Orient Photo, Lords, TK, etc etc etc etc.
