Problem exists for some time already, only workaround is the select the folder manual , import from device only detects jpegs. Sad that it still isn't fixed. Good thing the software isn't too expensive.

I think lightroom still depends on Camera Raw to deal with Raw files... so having an updated Adobe Camera Raw might be what you need.

You select import from disk or device? , import from device doesn't work . you need to import from disk then browse to dcim etc to the exact folder and select the images manually.

As bro Rashkae's stated, all Sony Alpha Cameras should be supported in LR2.2 - even the a900 received support with LR2.1.
Hmm, think something is preventing your lightroom application from identifying and listing your ARW files properly. It's if you have any Directory Cache, do purge it, or attempt a re-install of the software. ![]() Hope it helps. and... ah, correction - raw support is built into LR2 and doesn't depend on ACR. ![]()

Oh i see... yeah, somehow the import from device doesn't work it seems probably because they didn't list *.arw as a valid raw format. But if you configure your Alpha Camera to a Disk Mode instead of device, the camera will get recognized as a drive, and you can probably do "import from disk" from there but yeah, import from device is the faster and more convenient way.
Cross fingers I guess... ![]()

Yup but you have to manually select the files , its still a workaround , the feature is not working as it should. Oh well not a major problem , just thought they are aware and will fix this minor issue.
