New Pentax DSLR this week?

So who's gonna bet on a new camera by Pentax this wed (our time)? I bet there will be one announced tomorrow or Wed, but definitely not a K20D w/ GPS

Probably the K20D with decorative LEDs ............

I am hoping that they would announce a DSLR with 1.3X crop and better AF in low light .......... K30D ..............

As long as it has improved AF capabilities (and doesn't have to be 51 focus points), and better DR, I am sure a few bros will be interested...

Don't think this would gonna happen w/ the new released one. Too soon for Pentax to make anther totally new cam ...

If, its really a 1.3x, it will not be the K30D, Pentax will sure name it as KxD.

If it was going to be another entry level cam, how come there will be new cam when K-m is not even available yet....?

K200D Super (with the CMOS sensor??)

Keeping my fingers crossed it's not something that predictable.

hmm .. i tot there was speculation that there'd be a k30d with APS-H sensor?

I'm still hoping to see a Pentax k30d with faster AF, 3" swivel LCD with 922k pixels, movie mode and 6fps capability.

My thoughts exactly! The Lumix G1 looks great in other colours. I'm sure the K-m would look that nice too and with more colours they will be able to attract the more colourful types whose camera not only take pictures but act as an "cool" accessory...

To be honest, the time frame is so short, I doubt it would be anything revoluntionary.
I would suspect its probably a K200D Super and K20D super with the faster AF of the K-m. An upgrade to CMOS 14MP for the K200D super is not impossible. Should not take much redesign from the existing production line. Live view, video features, FF, etc would probably take longer because it will have to be a complete new design that will require extensive focus groups and usage testing.

Judging the picture...the new cam body does not look "tough" and the lens is cheap :P

I hope it is K30D which has new designed mirror for 1.3X crop samsung new CMOS...
someone say K30D is FF, someone say it is 1.6X ....

should be metal tough body, fast and accurate AF system. and

I think from the looks it is probably just the K-m being launched.
According to their shareholder profit report, they are expecting to release 3 new camera (replacement for K-m, K200D and K20D) next year but will continue to release new compacts quarterly.
