ha ha sorry wasnt being clear , I mean I burnt a hole by getting the original sheesh
70 bucks , not really a big hole , but still a visible lobang haha .

Yeah I guess the shutter release cant possibly cost 70 bucks , but didnt have much experience with 3rd party ones , so bought the original one.

Well, in my experience, I've gotten the third party one, it works pretty well too.

Alternatively, if you have an old style CD-ROM drive audio cable (for computer)... can mod that into a 3 pin connection, short two of the wires to half press, then short all three wires to take photo.

yeah man... Well, I placed an order for a wired remote, but it didn't arrive in time for a fireworks show I was shooting... so I fashioned out a home made one... so it looked as if I was splicing cables instead of shooting that night... lots of fun... like I'm stealing car.

Well, you're not alone here, eventually, I did settle down with a proper remote cable release, because it's not nice to look at, and not safe to do this (risk of damage to equipment) - I did it in a last ditch effort when my ordered remote cable release didn't deliver in time for a shoot.

Yeap. there's a wireless IR remote controller for A700 and A900, and it's included in the package.

Though it doesn't do Bulb mode like a wired remote cable can... So for A700 / A900 users like me, I'd still rely on a Remote Shutter Release Cable for bulb mode shooting.

I also use the CD cable for my diy vertical grip for my minolta 5D. work great also
