Anyone knows what is the temperature it can withstand? The highest and lowest temp? ![]() |

it's in the manual page 149, it's 0-40 degree C. In reality it should work better than that.

not really so. if you're shooting alot under the sun the ccd sensor may get too hot & the camera will stop working (first hand experience from a200)

I've used Sony cams is super scorching hot sun, the body heated to 47C. Worked fine. I've used them in -25C with windchill. worked fine.
The manual states the "guaranteed" operating range. But in reality, it has more flexibility.

think what would be more of a concern is if your memory card can operate at <-0C
but then again they already stated operating temperature only till 0C, but storage up to-20C lol some ppl with kingston cf got corrupted files... so far havent seen any problems sandisks users. sandisk writes that theirs can operate up to -20C but sandisk 8gb extreme III costs $77 and kingston 133x only $29... lol big diff in price... what do most of u use? ![]() Last edited by doomslayerz; 17th December 2008 at 11:20 PM. |

I think sometime is the battery & not the camera that maybe giving problem....
