Default Damaged Sensor or Dust Spots?

Just found out that there is a repeating pattern of colored dots in my photos. Could it be a case of damaged sensor or dust spots? Please advise.

    Thanks.

Do these occur at all apertures? If yes, it's most likely a sensor issue

The wider the aperture, the stronger the dots are.

In regard to it being a sensor issue, what actions must be taken?

Guess you are not the only one. this was shot at 688secs with my a200 shot at 11mm f22. I believe these spots only comes out on longer exposures after 2 secs. May i know what camera you're using? model?

Canon 400D. I believe this issue cropped up recently as I have not seen such a problem after using my camera for around 1 year+.

Gotta read up on how mapping helps.

That's just long exposure "hot pixels". did you switch on the long exposure NR?
