Hello Guys,

I need some advice and places of where to buy canon stuff in Hong Kong.
I have tried searching for threads on it but it is rather old.

Thanks in advance!

Tin Cheung in Kowloon. You will need to do a google search for their address.

There is a shop called Man Shin (I think) in Mongkok. It is at the end of the street very near to the MTR exit. The prices are competitve. You can wallk to Broadway and bargain with the sale assistances who can offer very good discount from the displayed price and best payment by VISA.

I've purchased a camcorder from them with extra freebies and additional discount. Of course you must not show them that you 'die-die' must buy the product.

Wish you happy buying spree...

Due to the current exchange rate, it is not so attractive to buy in HK anymore.

Also they recently up the prices of their stuff as the YEN strengthened.

If u really interested to buy then make sure you check prices in Singapore first. Also bear in mind the warranty for camera bodies are only valid in HK. So if the price difference is less than S$200 I think it more worthwhile to buy at home.

Tin Cheung will charge 3% for all CC payment. Wing Shing and Man Shing have no extra charge.

Enjoy and shop wisely.

For all you people who are looking at buying cameras and lenses in Hong Kong there is a website that updates prices daily, go to www.price.com.hk. They have listing of most electronic products, how much and where to get them.

I am based in Shenzhen and some of the products at Huaqiang bei may even be slightly cheaper than HK. For example Canon 50D is going for rmb6800 and the latest Tamron 18-270 is going for rmb3900.

I agree, check price here first. I wanted to buy a lens selling at $930 here and since my friend is still in HK on vacation, i ask her to check for me both in "Wing Shing" and "Man Shing". Both selling at $980!

Not so cheap now compared to last time.

Hong Kong looks like a gadget haven. The f100fd only HKD1580, which converts to about SGD295. Probably doesn't come with any free SD cards but hey, they are so cheap these days.
