Default Have you seen this man?

Dunno if this is genuine, but it was like a scene out of an MTV. A Caucasian lady comes out of the crowd of onlookers. She sits down opposite him without a word. He turns on his portable hi-fi and they start playing, super fast, to the beat of the tune; and I am reminded of this song by The Script, "The man who can't be moved."

If he's really for real, I hope he manages to raise his money.

Yup. He won, and the lady left in a huff, and everyone started to put money in the hat.

I'm thinking, if his father is really that sick, why would he still have the mood to design such a nice signboard. Look at those fonts.. doesn't reflect his worried for his dad.

Even if its a stunt, it's still a novel way of busking on the street and is more entertaining than the usual noise makers outside The Paragon.

If it's not a stunt I hope he gets the amount he needs.

man... i'm sorry to say i dislike the way you he designed his signboard. Sound more like you are jealous abt his works. We should show empathy to all around us, and getting a nice signboard might raise his chances of being spotted and working towards the funds he required.

Anyway, TS you should had took a pic of his ending move as well as ppl donating money to him as well. Would make the story more complete.

I totally agree with you on that. You just took the words out of my mouth... I really hate to say it because I'm a Singaporean myself. But its so typical of Singaporean mentality. Like it got hardwired onto our systems.

As for the subject in topic, well, stunt or not, he is still working for it. So give him some respect.

Well apparently, many haven't heard of backpackers who lost their air tickets and who have to busk in the street to raise funds for another air ticket.

I lost my ticket once while backpacking. All I had to do was tell them my last name and I got a re-print ticket.

I was at Foshan last year when I saw a bro and sis weeping on the floor in front of shopping center with a cloth and photograph that mentioned saving $ to go back to their dead mum. For the benefit of doubt, I will usually assume this is real. Donate the amount we can afford is good enough to help.
