http://www.huntsphotoandvideo.com/co...ws.cfm?id=6660 I was wondering, practically speaking, would this new version have a big advantage of the older version? I'm only using the E510. Would this newer version be better? Thanks! |

But if you are buying brand new and the cost difference is less than $100 ... then maybe the Mk II version may be a better deal ... it is supposed to have better bokeh ... and one day you'll upgrade your E510 ... and prob all the new Oly will use Contrast Detection AF ![]() |

yup, is international.
Btw, MS Color quoted me S$775 (inc. GST) by cash term, CP S$835 (inc. GST). So... S$600 (wif courier fee) is kind of a gd price but has to wait for delivery... Since now 2nd-hand all standing firm to sell at S$500, might as well get a new 1.

One question ... will this lens fit the ring flash?
Also, is it bigger or smaller or heavier or lighter than the Mk1. BTW, I like the Mk1 very much.

It could be, had a chance to play with it today and couldn't figure any significant dimensional difference between the Mk I vs Mk II. On top of that, the AF-contrast detect focusing is a ton swifter! It is really something worth looking out, especially when coupled with the E30.
I think it might be more worth to wait and get the Mk II, especially it is brighter - max aperture value vs focal length. Well, just my opinion. Cheers~
