Calling for all dry box & silica gel users.
![]() I like to know how long you replace the silica gel for your dry box. I been using a dry box to store my DSLR and few lens since last month. The box just store some DSLR body with strap removed, filters and 3 lens. and I need to replace silica gel every week else %RH sure will go up to 60%-70% in a week. .Even I only open it 2,3 time per week and quick open & close way of using it. Not sure this is normal or might be some leak ![]() please share your tips and experience of using dry box & silica gel. ![]() |

Gave up silica gel after 1 month of using them. They turn pink too quickly and cooking them seems hazardous.
Prior to that, thirsty hippo. ![]()

I like to know with a better build quality/better seal dry box cam make a different? which the silica gel can last longer. The box that I use is the black dry box,cheapest model selling in most camera shop. |

Get a bottle of silica gel and sprinkle some underneath the sponge bedding. the RH won't go down that fast that way. If the RH dips below 40% just open the box and close it up again
