Butties, ahtiow have a dilemma here.......but I think after I post up my 'dilemma' here I would be bombarded with more dilemmas here, but heck, wanna know what TS butties think.....here's my 'dilemma':
Gonna buy a strobe this month. Initially wanna get SB 800, but now found out SB 600 can get under $300, its about $200 difference for me. Yes, $200 is a substantial amount for me cos now aiming to get Tammy 17-50mm, Nikkor 105mm micro....I'm using D50, I want to get strobe for events (wedding, gathering, etc) and macro only. Cos I dont think my D50 can support CLS, last time checked with a buttie, cant do off camera lighting, can only flash when strobe mounted on camera only. SO how? SB 600 or SB 800???

SONY + CZ AF!!
Just go get SB800 lah (2nd hand of course)...
first, you must understand the GUIDE NUMBER constant for flash. The GUIDE NUMBER will tell you the range of operation that this flash is able to support you. If I am not wrong, for normal situation like wedding for group photo, SB600 should be able to cover the distance already pretty well.
do check the guide number first.
Rule No. 2: SB800/SB600 is commonly known as external flash/speedlite
Rule No. 3: Owing a flash is a must for every photograher
Rule No. 4: Mounting on the camera is good enough for wedding/events/macro
Rule No. 5: SB800 no stock in SG, unless 2nd hand
Rule No. 6: No CLS, still can achieve off camera flash
I vote for SB800 anytime..but stock wise..
Dun noe Lords still have a not..
