Below is an extract from Issue #63 of the Digital Photographer magazine:

" The BL-700's biggest selling-point is that it has 4 separate channels that can funcion independently, allowing you to simulyaneously charge, discharge, refresh or test each of your batteries, saving you a lot of time and hassle.

The charger accomodates both AA and AAA rechargeable batteries, NiCd and NiMH. It also features individual LCD displays for each of the four compartments, displaying real-time information about the status of each battery, including charge/discharge current, terminal voltage, accumulated mAh and elapsed time per cell.

Thanks to the fact that each cell compartment is independent of the others, you can even set the charge current at different levels for each battery and recharge them at the same time, choosing from 200mA, 500mA or 700mA.

The testing function is a great way of ensuring you don't end up lugging around dud batteries that have reached the end of their lifespan and the charger incorporates overload sensors to avoid over-charging your batteries.

It also means that, unlike other chargers that stop charging once one of the batteries in the batch reaches capacity regardless of whether the others have the same level of charge or not, the Bl-700 will only stop charging the cell that's fully charged and continue charging the others, so you can always be sure that you have a fresh set of fully charged batteries."

The suggested Retail Price in the UK is 29 Pounds.

Does anyone know if this Brand/Model is available locally??
