Just got a CZ 16-80 with CZ MC filter

Just got some Zeiss Glass for my Alpha 350, with the Zeiss filter. Got a good price at Cathay Photo. If anyone is interested i highly recommend it. Now everything is sharp again. Only thing i don't like is the feel of the focus ring.

Btw the loose feeling of the focus ring is normal right? just wondering if it isn't.

my focus ring also got a little 'play'

does the lens extend when you tilt it down? (zoom-creeping)

Yup, the focusing ring is a bit loose. Quite difficult to use in manual focus. Actually the dust issue isn't as bad as I thought it'd be. As long as you keep it in the dry cab when not in use, the surface doesn't become as moist, so the dust can be easily blasted away with a dustblower.

I got A350, and i am still using the kit lens, i am thinking if the cz lens really worth the asking price.
How much clearer, sharper pics can i expect?

It may not be worth the price your paying , theres a bit of a premium to the price , but the kit lens is no comparison to the CZ , but its 5 times the cost of the kit lens , its probably not 5 times as good as a kit lens. But if you want the absolute best all round mid range zoom lense, then you don't get any better.

Well, for Sony's finely ribbed Zoom and Focus Rings: a fine soft brush, like a clean tooth brush can be used to clear most of the dust and grime that finds itself sticking on them...
