    Well, there are a few workarounds like manual focus etc. but it all adds to the inconvenience, very inconvenient in fact. If you have ever used a remote trigger before, you'll find that you cannot live without one. The camera design people at Panasonic just do not understand why a camera should have a remote the same reason why their video cam have one.

    i just got my LX3. although i hv read the reviews before but still not quite sure how good is this little one. as i used to play with digital SLR, so compare compare i afraid i might not satisfied with the result. i knew i shldn't compare as they are totally different. tomorrow going around to do some testing.

    No need compare with DSLR. the price you are paying for a good DSLR setup is definitely worth it.
    Nevertheless, the price you are paying for the LX3 is also really worth it, fast lens and wide angle.
    you might even find the IQ (at certain settings) comparable to one from the kit lens of an SLR!

    you will love how sharp it gets!
    but of course images below have been resized smaller.
