Default Flash battery pack

Wondering have anyone used the Flash battery pack SHV-1 or the third party one available by East Gear ( http://www.eastgear.com/store/charge...set-p-102.html )?

I have tested the Eastgear CD 2X2 and it is an excellent power pack. The FL-50 became a totally new piece of gear altogether.

from the specification..Eastgear version only have 4400 mAh.. where as for JL Photo's set, you can insert 10 AA batteries.. if 1 AA battery is 2200 mAh, then 10 batteries will be 22k mAh.. which is 5 times more than Eastgear version..

and believe me, the flash pack will make recharge intervals shorter and more consistant even at full blast..

ya, but sadly currently they do not come with olym set.. guess in time to come, they will have..

Sounds good, but to be honest, 10 AA batts can weigh quite a bit... and sure is a hassle to charge 10 AAs separately as compared to the CD 2x2. A cheaper alternative definitely but unfortunately, not for 4/3 users (at least for now)...

ya true.. actually the JL Photo flash pack is very light (it's basically a casing that holds 6 AA batteries up), it also have smart machenism to cut power when over heating..

but normally when i shoot i just throw it into my bag, and the coiled cable is long enough for you (the photographer) to move around as you shoot.. i have no concert about the weight..

you may see the site, there have the picture.. http://www.jl-photo.net/products/flash-pack-adapter

pic speaks louder than me.. =p
