Software & K20D Camera Firmware Updates - Nov08

Pentax has introduced software upgrades for PENTAX PHOTO Browser 3 and PENTAX PHOTO Laboratory 3 Update for Windows as well as Macintosh (Version 3.61)

Pentax has also come up with a firmware upgrade for the K20D (Version 1.01)
Minimize the noise when taking picture with 2 seconds self-timer mode.

Thanks creampuff for the update. The PENTAX PHOTO Browser 3 and PENTAX PHOTO Laboratory 3 is new but the firmware (Version 1.01) upgrade for the K20D is not new, it is available since Jun. I got mine upgraded that time..

Yeah, the firmware update was several months back. Never used Pentax software yet ...

Follow the instructions from the website when you click the sw version.

When you download the software, the firmware and a readme.txt file is downloaded. The readme.txt file provide the instrucitons to upgrade the camera firmware.

i seems to get better pics when using the old firmware...

I didn't upgrade, but when I sent the camera in (for an hour) to change my grip, the engineer told me that he's going to upgrade for me. So I guess why not. I have not noticed any major improvements or for the matter, the fix it was intended to resolve.
