I bought a LX3 in late march thanks to the help from people on this site paid $700 for it with lexar 8gb memory card, spare battery, mini tripod, screen protector and card reader. Given Im a Ang Mo and not from Singapore I'm pretty happy with the price. I cashed in the GST when I left too so was a great price for me. I bought it at Alan Photo in Funan and would like to thank the salesman for being so helpful and good to deal with. He put the rear screen protector on for me and the neck strap, great customer service. Not something I expect when im in Singapore.

The camera is fantastic I took it to India for 3 weeks and it is a great to use, the photos i took are better then any I have ever taken.

I have seen this at Alan photo, funan branch. The TTL function is there but I also think it's silly to pay so much since the GN isn't fantastic.

    Hi LX3 owners wannabe,

Been lurking around and intending to buy a new LX3 today.

Was informed somewhere in this site that new stocks coming in 19 May 2009 and so rushed down around 10:30am to APSL and even to around 11:30am MSColor 711AMK hoping to get one.

Sad to say, shipment delayed, and latest info is the stocks maybe released early next week if they(Panasonic) can get it through customs and shipping to dealers by tomorrow.

Just for info in case any one of you thought stocks are in ...

Looking forward to getting my hands on LX3 for long time liao

LX3 was selling at Best Denki fair at Taka B2 for $699 with 2 8GB card, 1 spare battery, and cleaning kit/mini tripod. OCBC card has additional 5% rebate. So quite a decent price plus you have the option to buy extended warranty. Too bad today is last day if you miss it.

The stock in liao. I was at AP SL this afternoon, 100 over pieces on the floor. $679 with freebiss. I think only last a few days, go grab fast!

I tempted to buy but tot check out D-lux 4 first.

    Guys,

Just got mine from AP Funan. $679 with 8GB card, casing, screen protector, OEM batt. No mini tripod.

Apparently the stocks are rather limited, so suggest you head down soon! I would guess that MS Color and others should also have their stocks replenished; in case AP has run out, you can check with them.

    Have fun!

Hey, I've checked that for the $679 deal, you'll need to pay cash. May be difficult to get anything additional on top of this deal from AP...given that the demand for LX3 is very high!

APSL's case that comes with LX3 is this instead of the 'lumix' case which cost about $40++ at MScolour

Ya i got it yesterday from MS Color.

$679 without casing and have to pay in cash or else NETS or Credit Cards need another 2% charges.

Called AP yesterday and was told stocks will arrive this weekend, thats why i bought it from MS Color instead. Now am regretting coz no casing and I don't really like MS Color service..

Good you got yours with casing. The difference with Best Denki deal last week is $664 (after rebate) that has 2 8GB card, 3rd party battery, mini tripod, cleaning kit, but no casing and no screen protector.

Even the original expensive Lumix DMW-CLX3 leather case is out of stock (worldwide) and the only place to get your hands on one is on ebay.

My experience with MS was also one that was dodgy as when asked for a LX3 they immediately said i'll get you a new one and pulled a box out from a shelf that was sitting alone and not with a bunch of other LX3 boxes. The camera came without any product features stickers on it and also without any product features tag (which I've only come to realise after seeing it on the camera at other shops). The camera was however in perfect condition although I suspect it was a piece that everyone had their hands on to have a feel before purchasing. The thing is, I only realised all this a couple of days later after seeing other new LX3s with the sticker and tag on them. Well, can't expect much for now because that's the kind of service we get from our local shops and we still have a long way to go when it comes to a "good service".
The ones i saw at AP does not come with any stickers or tags as well. With the LX3 selling like hotcakes, i think Panasonic just do without this procedure so as to get the goods into the market fast.

hey, i also have the same experience as you!

They just took the LX3 box out of nowhere! and i was staring at the boxes and could not find a single lx3 box!

was so scared that it may be a display set or what..

When I got my LX3 at AP I saw Brian took it from a sealed box with sticker. I presume that it is brand new.
I tested the camera and if I am not wrong the picture filenaming start at P1000100.jpg
Did anyone start with this filenaming also?
