Default Software Recommendation

Hi guys,

I have just bought a Nikon D90 with Video function. As its a HD720p capable, I would love to edit the video and burn to DVD with HD720p for playback on Full and HD Ready TV.

I am unsure which software supports 720p editing and can have exposure adjustment during editing. If there is any freeware, then it will be best.

I am using Vista Movie Maker 2 to edit and save into 720p format, but its in WMV and it cannot do exposure edit...any other short coming to use Movie Maker 2 to save into 720p?

Thanks for sharing in advance.
