the one released in the US is F700, not S7000, which is a different camera.

Default S7000

Is coming to town in about Two to three weeks time. It will bring down existing prices. Hopefully S2 pro prices will go down to $2000.

aye? why would the s7000 entry into the prosumer affect the prices of the S2pro? and $2000? even 2nd hand prices rarely go there at the moment.

s7000 will be released in mid nov.
actually i am considering either this or panasonic's dmc-fz2, HP photosmart 945 and kodak's DX 6490.

fz2 is fz1+ manual controls but w/o hotshoe.
945 ...erm..nothing to say.
kodak has a schneider lens. 10x f2.8 to 3.1.
what ya guys think ?

someone told me the leica lens used in fz1( the 1 i am using) is lousy grade. not sure. bad experience with fz1.

choose S7000 for the low-noise high ISO capabability and good battery life and the 7Hi for the wide-angle.

So is it available in sg yet? If so at what price?
I saw it being listed for sale in bargaincity.com.sg but no price given.

I suspect it might pop-up during this month end's Sitex show. That was how the S5000 started selling in Singapore.

I read a review that the focus ring on S602 is now focus/zoom ring on S7000. Taht's something that I wanted (I actually wrote to Fuji about that!). Feels more SLR!

Unfortunately S7000 exhibits quite a bit of noise compared to 602Z. Oh well.
