Default Eiffel Tower 2008

I took this with my Olympus E510, 14-42mm with a 15 seconds exposure.

Any comments for me please?

Thanks!

The sun doesn't rise so early during winter. When i was there around this time last year, sunrise was about 7-8am and the sun would set early at around 4-5pm. That's if i remembered correctly.

Nice on Eiffel Tower, but too much dark foreground.

You should crop away the black part at the bottom. Contributes nothing to the photo.

haha ok! yah I came back on Saturday evening. The sun rose about 9am, and set about 5pm. More or less by a few min lah. Temperature is about 0-4 degrees and depends on cloud cover. at night, with wind and chill factor, most likely -2, -1 already!

the tower does look brilliant, but there are a couple of things that distract me.

1) the "dead" foreground - move closer, zoom in or crop to recompose the pic
2) the slight slant of the tower - my eyes could be failing me, but i think that there is a slight slant to the shot.

i think that the shot would be more dramatic if the sky was darker. either wait a little long in the evening / earlier in the morning. also check with your ISO setting, set it to the lowest (e.g. iso100).

yah there's a slight slant to the photo..haha i think i should had adjusted it before I posted.

Yah i also agree I should crop the photo. will do so! :P

My ISO setting...hmm...forgot to set that. It could be at ISO100 if I'm not wrong, but i'll recheck.

It was already quite dark. I sort of adjusted the levels to expose a bit of the clouds. Maybe I shouldn't have done that? haha okie!

Thanks for your tips man!
