Flash battery problem

Hi,

My frd had given me a vivtar flash.
I try using the battery he gave me was ok.
But when i try most of my recharger batteries , it was tight and when i try to test, it cannot work.
When i compare the 2 battery . The recharger battery is slightly bigger.

Should i cut the packaging out to slim down the size or.........???

Cut the package do not help much. I tear off my konnoc battery packaging still can't fit into my equipment. End up using it for my torch
