I went to revisit Changi Boardwalk- a casual shoot. Alike the previous visit, I love the calming ambience of the place. I really recommend those who have yet to visit to come down here if it's even for a non-photographic endeavour. The tranquility is very un-Singapore. ![]() Alrighty- I woke up late and we ended flagging a cab to the boardwalk. The cab driver had no idea where it is and we missed the sunrise. There are still remnants of the magic colours tho mostly blocked. So I shot other stuffs. I have to admit the colours weren't as vibrant as my previous take ![]() Hope you enjoy these sharing and brr, yesh I am still using my Canon Powershot S5 IS. Larger size and more photos available at flickr, over here. #1 ![]() I love these random poles jutting out of the water. Set the mood pretty cool #2 ![]() I know, the middle branch is out of place, but I like this framing #3 ![]() The gorgeous pelican totally photogenic with those model legs Last edited by velasco; 28th November 2008 at 04:11 PM. |

I like your pics alot.. I'm trying to learn. I got some questions. Hope you can teach me.
For #24, is it an effect or its nature by itself? when you took this shot, did you slow the shutter? or made it faster? For #9, how can one capture the rays? or its just anyhow shoot and you will get it? |

24 is not hdr rendered. if you are referring to the cloud formation, it is natural most definitely. it was beyond amazing how the cloud trails and creeps out like that. but to capture the blue tones i had to step down on the exposure causing the building to be in extreme darkness. so a blending technique is applied here. i darkened the sky but unapply the effect for the clubhouse. 9 is direct from cam, i did a trial and error on when the lens flare would be most prominent and just click the shutter ![]() |
