Prices has been falling, most likely in anticipation of something new in the coming months, and I believe the E-30 is leading the way for something new. Not sure if it has anything to do with the 400 and 500 series of cameras, but there are things in the horizon, that's for sure.
Considering what was said in the past press releases from Olympus, the flag ship models are almost due for a cycle update, which means the new flagship camera should be in the final stages of design and we should hear something very soon. Olympus, on the hand, is also known for their "vapourware"... that keeps us users hanging. Good or bad, well, you decide. I am hoping to see more CMOS sensors implementation, and still hoping for Kodak to continue working with Four Thirds for CCD sensors, but in this world of "low noise rules", I think that is quite unlikely. At this rate, personally, I am gearing towards changing system to the now-more-affordable medium format camera system.

Please becareful when buying in Sim Lim Square. A friend of mine nearly bought a Olympus set without warranty because the price is cheaper. Make sure it comes with warranty card and hold the warranty card with you before doing payment.

You can go for those OM lens..which will have lower 50mm f1.4, f1.8...but you need the adapter and manual focus then.
